Pokemon press conference in Tokyo

A video of today’s press conference from The Pokémon Company announcing its new Pokémon games for Nintendo Switch™ is now available. Watch it here:

The surprise-filled event was hosted by President Tsunekazu Ishihara, with contributions from game developers, including GAME FREAK directors Shigeru Ohmori and Junichi Masuda, alongside Niantic representative Tatsuo Nomura.

To recap, the new games presented in the press conference include:

  • Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!:
    • Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! are the newest titles in the Pokémon series coming this autumn to Nintendo Switch. Inspired by Pokémon Yellow, which was originally released on Nintendo’s Game Boy in Europe in 2000, these two titles are designed for players taking their first steps into the Pokémon video game world. Featuring an innovative connection to the popular Pokémon GO mobile game, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! promise plenty of enjoyment for both newcomers to the franchise and experienced players.
  • Pokémon Quest:
    • Pokémon Quest is a rambunctious action RPG where cube-shaped Pokémon play the leading role! Head out in search of treasure with your cube-shaped Pokémon buddies on Tumblecube Island—a land where everything is a cube! Your goal is to find the awesome treasures said to be hidden on the island! With easy-to-use controls and a completely new way to play Pokémon, Pokémon Quest is an enjoyable experience for all fans.
