Pokemon TCG Sword & Shield Darkness Ablaze is a new expansion set, which arrives on August 14, 2020.
Pokémon Sword & Shield Darkness Ablaze introduces highly collectible cards including Charizard VMAX, as the fan-favorite Charizard makes its Gigantamax form debut in the Pokémon TCG, just like in the Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield video games. In addition, Trainers will be able to pull more Pokémon from the Galar region as Pokémon VMAX, such as Centiskorch VMAX and Grimmsnarl VMAX in their Gigantamax forms, and the Legendary Pokémon Eternatus VMAX in its unique Eternamax form.
Sounds cool, right? But if this is not enough, here you can check some pack arts:
The full expansion includes the following:
- Seven Pokémon VMAX
- 14 powerful Pokémon V—plus nine full-art Pokémon V
- 17 Trainer cards and four full-art Supporter cards
- Three new Special Energy cards
Like always we can expect Pokémon TCG – pre=release events where you get a chance to use Pokémon Darkness Ablaze Build & Battle kits.
Events will be available with participating Pokémon TCG retail stores starting August 1st. During the existing situation with a Covid-19 please expect some limitations can happen – but for now, we don’t know anything. For sure we should expect home events too.
Each box contains four Sword & Shield—Darkness Ablaze booster packs; a 23-card Evolution pack featuring key cards from current and prior sets, including one of four alternate-art promo cards and a deck-building tip sheet.
But that’s not everything, because we have some other arts like Elite Trainer Box and Theme Decks:
